The gateway connects your website to the merchant account. It also provides a Virtual Terminal for manual order entry. Merchant accounts do NOT work without a gateway. Gateway providers include Verisign, Authorize.net, and Plugnpay.com. We are Registered Resellers for Authorize.net and Plugnpay.com. Unless otherwise requested, your account will be setup with linkpoint.

Low long will it take to get my account up and running?

Your account can be up in as little as ONE day. This is based on your application being complete.

Yes. Your Paybyweb merchant account is one of only a few that integrates with Yahoo! Stores, which requires use of First Data Merchant Services.

Why do I receive information on the Linkpoint Gateway even though I requested Authorize.net
A:
That's an easy one. First Data OWNS Linkpoint. They want you to use Linkpoint, so they bundle it with the merchant acct. Paybyweb has been a high volume reseller for Authorize.net for almost 10 years. While we build, activate, and support the Authorize.net gateway, we do not support Linkpoint. Authorize.net costs less per month, too.
Q:
What if I activate Linkpoint and then change my mind and select Authorize.net?
A:
No problem. You will need to contact Linkpoint and request a cancellation of the gateway. Paybyweb will assist you in the Authorize.net setup.
