Paybyweb, Inc., a leading E-Commerce provider headquartered in Largo, Florida, announced plans today to provide Thanksgiving Turkeys to 1,000 less fortunate Bay-area families, by donating and distributing a truckload of Holiday Turkeys through Metropolitan Ministries of Tampa.
Working with a local Winn Dixie supermarket, Paybyweb will supply Metropolitan Ministries of Tampa with a shipment of 1000 turkeys and turkey gravy. The donation is planned to feed an estimated 6,000 to 8,000 people.
Paybyweb's employees and their families are volunteering to help unload and distribute the turkeys, the delivery is scheduled for Wednesday, November 22nd, 2000 at 11:00am, at Metropolitan Ministries' giant red and white tent at 2002 North Florida Avenue in Tampa.
According to Paybyweb founder and president David Weiss, "This is an important project for me and my employees. We are a small company, but we try to remain very involved in the community. I realize that this is just one night out of the year, but it makes all of us at Paybyweb feel good to know that 1,000 more families living here in the Bay Area, that might not have been able to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, will now be able to do so, and we helped to make it happen. This year, when we give thanks, we can be grateful not only for everything we have, but for everything we have been able to do to help others."
